Gonzaga’s Ben White named to WCC men’s soccer first team

Gonzaga sophomore defender Ben White was named to the West Coast Conference’s first team for men’s soccer, the conference announced Tuesday.

Bulldogs senior forward Conner Bevans earned second-team honors.

GU junior midfielder Jakob Granlund made honorable mention.

Midfielder Garrett Wilson made the all-freshman team for Gonzaga.

Top honors went to: Keegan Smith, San Diego, player of the year; Cameron Rast, Santa Clara, coach of the year; Darragh Vieyra, San Diego, defender of the year; Paul Blanchette, Loyola Marymount, and Kendall McIntosh, Santa Clara, co-goalkeepers of the year; and Luis Urias, Santa Clara, freshman of the year.
