Prep football: ACH tops Touchet in 1B quarterfinals

Dallas Isaak’s 9-yard touchdown run in the third quarter broke a 22-all tie and gave Almira/Coulee-Hartline a 30-22 win over Touchet in the quarterfinals of the State 1B football playoffs Saturday at Lions Field in Moses Lake.

Isaak finished with 215 rushing yards and three touchdowns and also threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Charles Hunt in the second quarter.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline (11-1) advances to play Liberty Christian in the semifinals next weekend.

Liberty Christian advanced with a 64-12 win over Republic (9-3). John Lesser did everything for the Patriots. He threw for 214 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 186 yards and three more scores.

Adrian McCarthy scored both of the Tigers’ touchdowns, one on a 25-yard run and the second on an 81-yard fumble return.

In the 2B bracket, Napavine advanced to the semfinals with a 34-7 win over Liberty (8-4). Tigers’ quarterback Wyatt Stanley threw for 208 yards and three touchdowns and also ran for a score.

Napavine will play Pe Ell-Willapa Valley next weekend.
