Poll: Idaho likes Ben Carson
There’s new polling data out today from the Zions Bank-backed Idaho Politics Weekly news site. This week it’s favorable/unfavorable ratings for presidential candidates and Idaho’s top officeholders. And away we go: Among Republican hopefuls, Ben Carson has the highest favorables and was the only candidate above the 50 percent mark, at 55 percent. He has a 24 percent unfavorable rating. Among Republicans only, Carson’s favorable/unfavorable numbers are 73-12. The rest of the GOP frontrunners:
- Florida Sen. Marco Rubio: 44-28. Republicans only: 57-13.
- Texas Sen. Ted Cruz: 35-35. Republicans only: 48-19.
- Donald Trump: 41-53. Republicans only: 52-42.
The Democrats:
- Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders: 38-39. Democrats only: 67-18.
- Hillary Clinton: 29-66. Democrats only: 79-16.
