– Spin Cycle Tandem is the featured specialty for No-Li’s Brewsday Tuesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
– Paragon in Coeur d’Alene is pouring $4 Sockeye pints for trivia tonight from 7 to 9.
– Six beers from San Francisco’s Almanac – Almanac IPA, Saison Dolores, Golden Gate Gose, Emperor Norton Belgian-style ale, Dogpatch Sour and Saison de Brettaville – will be featured in a tasting Wednesday starting at 3:30 p.m. at Pilgrim’s in Coeur d’Alene.
– Nectar Wine and Beer in Kendall Yards has a tasting of five sour and farmhouse ales from California’s The Bruery on Wednesday from 6 to 8.
– Orlison taps a rare ale offering , an Extra Special Bitter, on Wednesday.
– Bellwether’s small-batch offerings for the week are two IPAs, a honeyed braggot version (8.3, 98) and a revised Fibber McGee’s (6, 96).
– Republic Pi welcomes New Belgium for a Thanks-Firkin celebration Saturday from noon to 6, with firkin tappings of Accumulation white IPA and Salted Caramel Brownie brown ale at 1 p.m. and prizes including a bicycle.
A look ahead at local craft beer events for this holiday week (check back tomorrow for a full report on Thanksgiving brewery closures and weekend specials):
– Orlison’s monthly Community Pint Night on Tuesday (postponed from last week because of the windstorm) will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities , with $1 from every pint sold between 5 and 9 p.m. going to the nonprofit that assists visiting families whose children are receiving medical care here.
– A Salted Caramel Milk Stout (9.5 percent ABV) with house-made caramel sauce is Wednesday’s small-batch release at Daft Badger in Coeur d’Alene.
– Bottles in Spokane Valley hosts a Ballast Point tasting on Friday beginning at 5 p.m., with Sculpin Grapefruit IPA, ginger-infused Big Eye IPA, Calm Before the Storm coffee cream ale, Navigator doppelbock, Victory at Sea imperial porter with coffee and vanilla, and Homework Series Batch #6 robust porter.
– Steady Flow Growler House has a tasting Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. with Backwoods Brewing out of the Columbia Gorge.
