Defending Big Sky cross country champion Sarah Reiter, a junior at Eastern Washington, was named the female Big Sky Conference Athlete of the Week following her 16th-place finish at the Pre-Nationals race in Louisville, Kentucky, on Oct. 17.
Reiter covered the 6,000-meter course in 20 minutes, 25.90 seconds, helping the Eagles take 13th place. Eastern Washington climbed to a program-best 6th place in the west region in the most recent United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association rankings.
This is Reiter’s second career athlete of the week honor.
