Tressa Lyman had a match-high 12 kills Thursday as Idaho State swept Eastern Washington 25-15, 25-17, 25-16 in a matchup of two of the Big Sky Conference’s best volleyball teams at Pocatello.
Hayley Farrer added a match-best 22 assists and Kaitlyn Johnson had a match-high 10 digs for the Bengals (16-7, 8-1), who entered the night tied for first place in the South Division with Northern Arizona.
For the Eagles (12-8, 7-2), Ana Jakovljevic had seven kills, Nicole Rigoni 18 assists and Allie Schumacher nine digs.
Eastern leads the North Division by one match over Idaho (9-12, 6-3), which defeated Weber State 25-21, 22-25, 25-18, 25-21 at Ogden, Utah, behind sophomore Becca Mau’s career-high 19 kills.
The Vandals won their fifth consecutive match for the first time since 2013.
Freshman DeVonne Ryter added 10 kills, freshman Laine Waters had six blocks and Meredith Coba had 30 assists.
Weber State is 5-15, 1-8.
