Downtown Subway restaurant robbed

Police are searching for the man who robbed the Subway restaurant at Third Avenue and Division Street Saturday afternoon.

Officers were called to the restaurant at 4:30 p.m. Saturday. The robber claimed to have a gun but none was seen, said police spokesman Cpl. Jordan Ferguson. He left the scene on foot and was last seen headed south.

The robber is described as a white man in his mid 40’s with scruffy facial hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt with “Boston” written on the front along with a possible cloverleaf. He is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and has a medium build and was wearing brown rimmed sunglasses with blue lenses.
