Girls soccer: Mt. Spokane tops North Central 4-1 in district title match

Brittney Sanders scored twice – once in each half – and Mt. Spokane topped North Central 4-1 in the District 8 3A title match Friday at Spokane Falls Community College.

The win gave the Wildcats (11-4) the top seed to the regional tournament, which starts on Tuesday. The Indians (5-9) claimed the second seed.

Ashley Sanders and Emily Williams added first-half goals for Mt. Spokane, which held a 15-5 shot advantage. North Central benefited from an own goal in the 65th minute.
