Men’s soccer: Dons score three early goals, beat Bulldogs

San Francisco scored three first-half goals and beat Gonzaga 3-1 in a West Coast Conference match Friday at Luger Field in Spokane.
Conner Bevans gave the Bulldogs an early 1-0 lead with his 9th-minute goal, but the Dons’ David Garrett tied it at 1 just 16 seconds later and then Davi Ramos and Sean Bowman tacked on goals for San Francisco (5-10, 3-1).
It was GU’s first loss this season after scoring the match’s first goal.
Gonzaga (6-8-1, 1-3) has three remaining regular season matches. The Bulldogs host Santa Clara on Sunday.
Thierjung’s goal gives Cal 1-0 win over Washington
Christian Thierjung’s 88th-minute goal gave California (8-5-2, 3-3-2) a 1-0 Pac-12 Conference win over Washington in Seattle.
The Huskies (6-4-5, 2-2-2) host Stanford on Monday.
