Women’s soccer: Eagles and Vandals play to 1-all draw

Chloe Williams scored in the 83rd minute and Eastern Washington played to a 1-all draw with Idaho in a Big Sky Conference regular-season finale Friday in Moscow, Idaho.

The tie gave the Eagles (12-3-3, 6-2-2) the third seed heading into the conference tournament, which will be hosted by Idaho. Eastern will play No. 6 Sacramento State on Thursday. The Eagles beat the Hornets 3-1 Oct. 2 in Cheney.

Amanda Pease scored the Vandals’ lone goal in the 70th minute. Idaho (13-4-2, 9-0-1), which had already locked up the top seed, has a first-round bye and will play Friday in the semifinals.

Cougars top Ducks 2-1

Kailiana Johnson broke a 1-all tie with a penalty-kick goal in the 50th minute and Washington State beat Oregon 2-1 in a Pac-12 Conference match in Eugene.

The Cougars’ Chelsea Harkins opened the scoring in the 23rd minute and the Ducks’ (4-13, 1-8) Brooke Strawn tied it in the 50th minute.

Washington State (12-5, 5-4) has two remaining regular-season matches. The Cougars play at Oregon State on Sunday and at Washington on Thursday.

Keever lifts Huskies to double-overtime win

Kimberly Keever’s goal in double overtime gave Washington (12-4-2, 5-3-1) a 2-1 win over Oregon State (6-8-3, 2-7) in a Pac-12 match in Corvallis, Oregon.

The Beavers’ McKenzie Redberg opened the scoring in the 59th minute, but the Huskies’ Shannon Simon tied it at 1 in the 76th minute before Keever’s winner in double overtime.
