Obituary: Roberts, “Ernie”
Age 75
He died September 18, 2015 losing his battle with cancer.
Ernie attended Deer Park schools, graduating in 1958.
He worked at the family dairy on Wild Rose Prairie, Deer Park Lumber Mill, Western Farmers, and Chevron out of Deer Park before farming full time on the west half of the family farm.
He married Joy Heath in 1964.
Ernie has five children, David Earl, Roberta Gerken (Norman), Nathan Wade, Michelle Claudy (Ronnie), and Pamela (Mike Buscher).
He has four grandchildren, Scott, Jenny, Colin and Finnbar.
Ernie loved farming, fishing, playing cards, family and friends.
Later in life he loved to travel and meet new people.
His oldest son, David, preceded him in death.
A Memorial Service honoring “Ernie” will be at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, September 24, 2015, in Deer Park at the Open Door Congregational Church located at North 205 Main Street with Rev.
Dr. Daniel N. Berg officiating.
