Morning links: Utah did what?

There were some surprising outcomes in the Pac-12 on Saturday, but Oregon’s loss to Utah overshadowed them all.

The Utes massacred the Ducks, beating them 62-20 in what was the worst Oregon loss in more than a decade and scoring the most points by a visiting team in Autzen Stadium’s history. Columnist John Canzano practically wrote the UO obituary after the game, declaring that the Ducks are victims of “identity theft.” If true, that could be good news for the Cougars in two weeks.

Speaking of future WSU opponents, John Blanchette and I got a look at Washington State’s next opponent, California, in Seattle yesterday. I wrote a story scouting the Golden Bears for the Cougars and John wrote a column about UW quarterback Jake Browning’s struggles. College GameDay went to Tuscon and watched Arizona get punked by UCLA at home. After his players dominated a good opponent on the road, Jim Mora grumbled about the defense.
