SEATTLE – The King County Council has chosen a Bellevue attorney to replace Ross Hunter in the Washington House of Representatives.

The council on Monday unanimously approved a motion appointing Patty Kuderer to fill the vacancy in the 48th legislative district.

Hunter resigned and took a new job as director of the state Department of Early Learning.
