Two charged with pistol whipping pot dealer

Two men face assault and robbery charges after allegedly pistol-whipping a man they’d arranged to buy marijuana from before running away without any marijuana.

Seth M. Robinson-Veney, 18, and Kendyl A. Dunn, 21, were arrested by Spokane County deputies after Levi Usselman, 21, reported they beat him over the head with a gun during a drug sale on Sept. 27 in Medical Lake.

According to court documents, Usselman told police he arranged to sell the pair four ounces of marijuana for $600. He met them in a parking lot on Herb Street with an ounce of marijuana.

Usselman told police Robinson-Veney got in the car’s passenger seat and began talking when Dunn opened the door, grabbed him by the neck and began beating him with a gun while yelling, “You’re getting jacked!” He was able to back the car up, knocking Dunn down with his door. He told police Dunn fired a bullet from his gun before both men fled the scene.

Robinson-Veney appeared in court Monday and was released. Dunn will be in court Wednesday.
