Sexual harassment lawsuit involving popular restaurant settled

A sexual harassment lawsuit filed against The Wandering Table restaurant has been settled and the chef accused of the harassment has quit his job, though the chef said his decision to leave isn’t because of “anything negative.”

Chef de cuisine Ryan Stoy was accused of harassing former employee Amanda Hillmann multiple times, including sending her sexual texts and pictures on her cellphone. Hillmann’s attorney, Kevin Roberts, said the terms of the settlement are confidential.

“It was a satisfactory resolution for my client,” he said.

Wandering Table owner Adam Hegsted said Stoy’s departure was not part of the settlement. “He’s just moving on,” he said.

Stoy said in an email that he was leaving his job in order to spend more time with his family.

“I have chosen to leave my amazing kitchen life, because I have an even better life waiting for me at home,” he said.
