Police confirm a person jumped from suspension bridge in Riverfront Park Thursday

Police confirmed that one person jumped from a suspension bridge in Riverfront Park on Thursday afternoon.

Police spokeswoman Teresa Fuller said the person’s body has not been recovered, although police will continue to search the river.

A witness reported seeing a woman jump into the river from the suspension bridge on Canada Island. The witness saw the woman emerge from the water a couple of times after jumping. A shoe was recovered on Thursday.
