Robbery suspects allegedly threatened woman with hammer, gun

A woman claims two acquaintances stole her truck and purse after threatening her with a gun and a hammer in Spokane County.
The woman met Anthony R. Gallo in June shortly after moving to the Spokane area, and she thought they were friends, according to court documents. On July 24, Gallo called the woman to ask if he and some other friends could hang out.
They stayed the night at the Red Lion motel on North Division Street, where the woman was living, and asked her for a ride home in the morning, according to court documents. As the woman drove, Gallo allegedly threatened her with a large hammer, and another woman allegedly held a pistol to her head.
“We don’t like you,” Gallo allegedly told her. “Give us everything you have.”
The woman claims the pair stole her shoes and purse and demanded she pull down her bra while searching for hidden valuables, then pushed her out of the car in a rural area south of Nine Mile Falls. Court documents say a sheriff’s deputy found her walking barefoot in that area after a passerby called 911.
Gallo was arrested Sunday night at a home in the 3900 block of Indian Trail Road. He faces charges of vehicle theft and first-degree robbery.
