Amber Alert issued for missing Montana girl

Associated Press

HELENA – The state Department of Justice has issued an Amber Alert for a 16-year-old Madison County girl missing since early Wednesday.

Officials say Sandy Moore is 5 feet, 7 inches tall with brown hair and eyes. She wears glasses and is mentally delayed.

It is believed Sandy was taken from her residence in Sheridan by 60-year-old Rodney Lee Zahn and that they might be traveling to Billings or to Boise.

Zahn is a registered violent offender on probation. He is Caucasian, 5 feet, 5 inches tall and 135 pounds with short brown and gray hair, brown eyes and a tattoo of a Tazmanian devil on his arm.

They are believed to be traveling in a black 1987 Ford pickup with Montana license plate 3-50558B and pulling a tan and white fifth-wheel trailer.
