Wedding anniversary: McMurtreys mark 60 years of marriage

Gene and Doris McMurtrey celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house with family and friends on July 23 at their home in Spokane.

Hosts for the event included their children and spouses: Dean and Nanette McMurtrey, of Spokane; Kathy and Don Hoeck, of Branson, Missouri; Dale and Lori McMurtrey, of Bellingham; and Duane and Mara McMurtrey, Villa Park, California.

The couple were married Aug. 3, 1956, in Spokane. They have 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
