HAVRE, Mont. – Hill County authorities have recovered the body of a 19-year-old man who went missing while swimming in Fresno Reservoir, northwest of Havre.
The sheriff’s office says the body of Anthony James Herbold of Havre was found Monday afternoon, about two hours after dispatchers received the 911 call.
The caller said the man was swimming with his friends and went under water and never resurfaced. Herbold’s body was found about 20 feet from shore in about 15 feet of water.
The sheriff’s office said foul play is not suspected. An autopsy was planned to determine the cause of death.
