Man dies in crash on Upriver Drive
Sat., Aug. 13, 2016
A man died in a fatal crash on Upriver Drive near the Boulder Beach swimming area sometime Saturday morning.
The crash was discovered by a passerby just after 8 a.m. The man’s truck went through a guard rail and down an embankment before coming to rest along the Spokane River. The man was ejected and was deceased when rescue crews arrived, said Spokane County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Deputy Mark Gregory.
It appears that the crash happened some time before it was discovered, Gregory said. The cause is under investigation. The man’s identity will be released by the Medical Examiner after an autopsy.
