Judge: Enough evidence for trial in Pocatello stabbing death

POCATELLO, Idaho – A judge said there’s enough evidence that a 42-year-old Pocatello woman should face trial in the stabbing death of her brother.
The Idaho State Journal reported Kristina May Juarez had been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 32-year-old Ronald Michael Christensen.
Sixth District Magistrate Steven A. Thomsen issued his decision after a five-hour preliminary hearing last week.
The victim’s girlfriend, Amber Tallent, testified emotionally that she was waiting for him in her car, parked outside, while he and his sister were in his house. When Christensen went to get something out of the garage, he and Juarez’s boyfriend began fighting. Talent said she saw Juarez come out of the house with what appeared to be a knife.
Tallent said she went into the garage and saw Juarez with her hand on a knife embedded in Christensen’s back.
