Prep football: CdA loses in California 55-36

Joe Curry threw for six first-half touchdowns and host Folsom, California, held off a Coeur d’Alene rally for a 55-36 victory in a season opener Saturday night.
Curry, who finished with 551 yards passing, led the Bulldogs to a 41-16 halftime lead.
Colson Yankoff rallied the Vikings, with his fourth touchdown pass bringing Coeur d’Alene within 48-36 with 4:22 to go.
Folsom has won four consecutive California Interscholastic Federation Sac-Joaquin Section titles and is 50-0 in that region since since 2012.
Frenchtown 24, Timberlake 20: Brandon Housladen rushed for one score and passed for another but Tigers dropped their season opener in Montana.
Frenchtown led 24-7 when Timberlake rallied in the third quarter on a 3-yard touchdown run by Caleb Munson and Housladen’s 41-yard scoring pass to Ryan Stevens.
Housladen was 8-of-16 passing for 138 yards and rushed for 52 yards.
Clark Fork 32, Timberline 8: Wade Stevens threw four touchdown basses to Bryant Moore and the Wampus Cats opened their season with a victory over the visitors. The TD passes went for 68, 25, 19 and 17 yards.
