The Spokane Complex of fires is nearly 100 percent contained, and outside resources are no longer needed, officials said Monday.
The Wellesley fire near Beacon Hill in north Spokane is fully contained, and the Yale Road fire near Valleyford is 99 percent contained – up 4 percent from Sunday. Command over the fires is being returned to local departments and the state Department of Natural Resources.
The Northwest Incident Management Team 11 said residents should look out for debris in roadways surrounding the fires. Crews will continue monitoring the area for hot spots.
