A woman was jailed Sunday night after she was accused of firing a handgun at another woman in Kootenai County.
Kootenai County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 400 block of S. Elm Road about 11:20 p.m. after a mother reported that a woman fired a shot at her daughter, a sheriff’s office news release said. No one was hit by the bullet.
Wtiness told investigators that the 29-year-old victim had received threatening texts from Nicole M. King, 36, before showing up at the victim’s home and firing as the victim was leaving the scene in a car.
Officials also accused King of pointing a handgun at the victim’s boyfriend.
King was booked into jail on multiple charges including attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault and felon in possession of a firearm.
