Wed., Aug. 31, 2016

Spokane Chiefs forward Kailer Yamamoto has been named to the CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Sept. 22.
The annual event showcases 42 of the top American-born prospects for next summer’s 2017 National Hockey League draft.
Yamamoto, of Mead, is set to begin his third season for the Chiefs on Sept. 24 at Tri-City. He is one of three Western Hockey League players invited to participate in the game.
In the first four years of the event, 74 participants were later drafted, including 15 first-round selections.
Notable previous participants in the game include NHL standouts Jack Eichel (Buffalo Sabres), Noah Hanifin (Carolina Hurricanes), Dylan Larkin (Detroit Red Wings) and Seth Jones (Columbus Blue Jackets).
