Won’t ‘get over’ Trump

I speak for all of my family (20+ people) when I say that it is unconscionable that Trump has chosen for Cabinet and administrative positions men who clearly embody the most unappetizing of ideals. Ideals which America (the actual Great America) has spent decades speaking out against and legislating to eliminate. This isn’t partisan politics. This is just madness.

My family will not “get over it,” nor will we compromise. There isn’t any ground on which we can stand with these men ideologically and still feel human. If our elected officials don’t speak out against the racist, misogynist, misanthropic, xenophobic presence of these men in positions of power, then the only conclusion that we can make is that they, well, approve of them and their nasty screeds. There isn’t any middle ground, I’m afraid.

It’s the same as being pregnant. You are or you aren’t. Where is Cathy McMorris Rodgers’ voice in the face of these unbelievable appointments? Please tell me she has plans to make known to our future leader that she will not support the aforementioned racism, misogyny, misanthropy and xenophobia in any way, shape or form. I will be waiting to see what she does, as will all of my family.
