Meetings will discuss efforts to restore natural resources damaged by historic mine waste
Three meetings in North Idaho this week will discuss plans for restoring natural resources damaged by the release of historic mine waste in the Coeur d’Alene River Basin.
The restoration work will be done by state and federal agencies and the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, using money from settlements with mining companies.
The meeting schedule is:
5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Maries Fire Department, 308 W. Jefferson.
5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Coeur d’Alene Public Library, 702 E. Front St.
5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Osburn VFW, 318 E. Mullan Ave.
