Girls basketball: LRS wins big in Pasco

Peyton Curtis scored a game-high 25 points, Tessa Jantz chipped in 12 and visiting Lind-Ritzville/Sprague (2-0) picked up a nonleague victory, 70-37, over Tri-Cities Prep in Pasco on Wednesday.

The game was a make-up from a weather-related postponement on Tuesday.

LRS turned a 10-point halftime lead into a 26-point lead entering the fourth quarter. LRS outscored TCP 50-24 in the first and third quarters.

Richland 64, Lake City 42: Nicole Gall scored 13 points to lead Richland over the visiting Timberwolves 64-42.

Maysun Wellsandt and Hailey Stevens added nine points apiece.

Bridget Rieken led Lake City with 24 points.
