Area girls: Alea Wohl’s double-double leads Clarkston over Pullman

Alea Wohl provided a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds for visiting Clarkston (2-3, 1-1) in a 64-56 win over Pullman (1-4, 0-1) in Great Northern League action on Tuesday.

Mikinzie Packwood scored 14 points for Clarkston and Riley Denton added 13. Rian Clear led Pullman with 12 points and Kelsey Nestegard added 10.

East Valley 52, West Valley 33: Elle Burland and Genesis Wilkinson scored 14 points apiece as the Eagles (4-2, 2-0) ran past the visiting Eagles (2-4, 0-2).

East Valley led 13-2 after the the first quarter and never looked back. Sophie Stahl-Hamilton hit a pair of 3-pointers and led West Valley with eight points.

Northeast A

Lakeside 48, Riverside 24: Sienna Swannack and the Eagles (3-3, 2-0) shook off a slow start to beat the visiting Rams (2-4, 0-2) in Nine Mile Falls.

Swannack had 19 points to lead all scorers, and the Eagles broke the game open with a 20-2 run in the third quarter. Ava West led Riverside with 10 points.

Colville 40, Freeman 39: Hayden Hartman scored seven points in the waning minutes to push the Indians (2-4, 1-2) past the visiting Scotties (0-5, 0-2).

Hartman finished the night with 24 points. Freeman’s Bradee Parisotto and Maggie Bailey had nine points and eight rebounds apiece.

Medical Lake 71, Chewelah 55: Makayla Geiger scored 22 points and the visiting Cardinals (3-2, 2-0) topped the Cougars (1-3, 0-2).

Geiger had eight points in a 20-12 third quarter. Emily Munson added 12 points for Medical Lake. Maggie Cobb led Chewelah with 20 points and Krystan Miller added 13.

Deer Park 43, Newport 27: Destanne Sunchild had seven points with 14 rebounds and the Stags (3-2, 2-0) beat the visiting Grizzlies (2-3, 1-1).

Free throws made the difference in this games as Deer Park had 35 free throws to Newport’s four.

Northeast 2B

Lind-Ritz/Sprague 59, Reardan 35: Peyton Curtis scored 26 points and the Broncos (3-2, 1-2) beat the visiting Indians (1-1, 1-1).

Curtis repeatedly took advantage of a zone defense to shoot 6 of 12 from beyond the arc.

LRS’s Tessa Jantz was 7 of 7 from the field for 16 points. Jessie Williams had 10 points for Reardan.

Liberty 60, Tekoa-Rosalia 37: Maisie Burnham scored 14 of her 25 points in the second half, shooting 8 of 13 from the field and 9 of 10 at the line, to lead the visiting Lancers (3-0, 2-0) over the Timberwolves (1-3, 0-2).

Hannah Beach paced T-R with 11 points.

Northeast 1B

Republic 67, Curlew 32: Shania Graham scored 24 points with a quadruple double, tallying 15 steals, 11 rebounds, and 13 assists as the Tigers (6-0, 3-0) mauled the visiting Cougars (4-2, 2-1).

Republic’s Carlie Rittel had 14 points and 14 boards. Korin Baker led Curlew with 12 points.

Inchelium 55, Northport 43: Rylee Desautel recorded a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds to help the Hornets (3-1, 2-1) defeat the visiting Mustangs (0-7, 0-4).

Taylor Finley led Inchelium with 19 points. Hailey Young paced Northport with 17 points.

Selkirk 57, Cusick 23: Jenna Couch had a double-double with 22 points and 11 steals to help the Rangers (5-1, 2-1) defeat the visiting Panthers (0-4, 0-3).

Gabi Rick added 10 points for Selkirk.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 56, Odessa-Harrington 19: Gabi Isaak scored 15 points, Christa Christopherson added 10 and the Warriors (5-1, 3-0) used a 22-2 second quarter to bust it open en route to a 56-19 win over the visiting Titans (0-2, 0-1).

Valley Christian 48, Columbia 16: Kaleen Pope and Phoebe Trigsted had 13 points apiece to help the Panthers (3-3, 3-1) defeat the visiting Lions (0-5, 0-2).

Kendra Pope grabbed eight of Valley Christian’s 45 rebounds. Kaleen Pope had 4 assists.

Gabreanna Singer led Columbia with 13 points.

Inland Empire

Lewiston 57, Coeur d’Alene 33: Abbey Roy led four players in double-figures with 13 points and the Bengals (4-1, 1-0) handled the visiting Vikings (2-4, 0-1).

Cameron Cady scored 11 points while Demi Randall and Alyssa Ralstin added 10 points apiece. Lewiston jumped out to a 21-6 lead after the first quarter and didn’t let up.

Rey Louden led CDA with 10 points.

Nonleague

Lake City 54, Cheney 30: Nina Carlson had 16 points for the visiting Timberwolves (7-1), which opened up a 15-point lead in the second quarter and cruised past the Blackhawks (4-1).

Bridget Rieken added 13 points for Lake City. Brette Draper led Cheney with 11 points.

Lake City forced 19 turnovers and allowed Cheney only six offensive rebounds.
