Body found in Airway Heights Wal-Mart parking lot may have been left there

The body of a woman found in the parking lot of the Airway Heights Wal-Mart on Dec. 6 may have been deliberately left there days before.

The woman has been identified as Jamie B. Kiehn. She was found sitting in the driver’s seat of her white, 1997 Mercury Sable.

According to court documents, the car was parked just after 7:30 a.m. Dec. 4. Video surveillance footage shows someone getting out of the driver’s seat, getting in the rear passenger door and “making adjustments” inside the car, the court documents state. The person then walks away from the car, which is not approached again until Dec. 6.

The video was taken from too great a distance to determine who the driver was or what was being done inside the car, according to documents.

Kiehn’s boyfriend reported her missing around 8:30 a.m. Dec. 4. He told police she left their home on Craig Road to go shopping the day before and never came back, the documents state.

Investigators state in court documents they believe someone drove Kiehn’s vehicle to the store and positioned her body in the driver’s seat. An autopsy did not determine a cause of death, but there was evidence of intravenous drug use, according to documents. Results from toxicology tests typically take at least six weeks.
