Victor Sanders helps Idaho cruise over NW Nazarene

MOSCOW – Victor Sanders scored 18 points and Idaho (5-5) had little trouble dropping NW Nazarene 87-61 on Saturday.

Sanders was 5 of 10 from the field, including 3 of 7 from beyond the arc, and hit all five of his free throw attempts.

The Vandals scored the first eight points of the game and ran up a 30-11 led midway through the first half. NW Nazarene cut its deficit to 12 with 9:36 left but Sanders responded with a 3-pointer on the next possession and Idaho cruised from there.

Idaho outscored NWN 34-22 in the paint and 36-21 off the bench.

Jordan Scott had 13 points with five rebounds and Brayon Blake scored 12 points, hitting 8 of 8 from the line, and grabbed six boards. The Vandals were 25 of 27 from the line for the night.

Bouna N’Diaye led NW Nazarene with 16 points. Kaileb Rodriguez had seven points with seven rebounds.

Idaho travels to face Pac-12 foe Stanford on Thursday.
