One adult, two children injured in highway crash near Deer Park

From staff reports

An adult and two children were injured Thursday afternoon in a crash on U.S. Highway 395 a mile south of Deer Park.

Ross G. Bauline, 31, of Spokane, was driving south on the highway when he made a left turn into oncoming traffic just after 3 p.m., the Washington State Patrol reported. His Toyota SUV collided with a northbound Chevy sedan driven by Caitlin E. Wolfe, 22, also of Spokane.

Wolfe and two of her passengers, a 2-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl, were injured and taken to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center, WSP said. A third passenger in her car, a 1-year-old girl, was not injured but also taken to the hospital.

Bauline and his passenger, an 11-year-old girl, also were not injured.

Both vehicles were totaled. The WSP reported that everyone involved was wearing a seatbelt.

The crash remains under investigation.
