Two men injured in crash south of Deer Park
A head-on collision injured two men Friday morning on U.S. Highway 395 about six miles south of Deer Park.
Sergey M. Grezhdiyeru, 25, of Auburn, was driving south on the highway near Wild Rose Road when he lost control of his Toyota pickup truck at about 7:40 a.m., the Washington State Patrol reported. The truck crossed the center line and struck a northbound Nissan truck driven by Scott S. Gillette, 29, of Elk.
Both men sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Grezhdiyeru was taken to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center, Gillette to Holy Family Hospital.
The WSP said Grezhdiyeru was driving too fast on the icy road and ticketed him for crossing the double yellow line.
