CMR works with Koch brothers

I, too, read the book “Dark Money” and agree with the letter submitted by Cathy Gunderson (“Dark Money behind election,” Dec. 7). On Oct. 21, the Spokesman-Review printed a half-page political ad paid by Cathy McMorris Rodgers titled “Cathy is Protecting Taxpayers and Our Liberty.”

In the ad, she had quotes from Americans for Prosperity, National Taxpayers Union and Americans for Tax Reform. All organizations were created or supported by the Koch Brothers, who have spent tens of millions of dollars in gifts to these organizations. They were formed to support candidates that meet their desires for lower corporate taxes and less environmental regulation.

Cathy agrees with the Koch brothers and others like them who want to pollute air and water without the cost of clean-up. The Koch brothers want a tiny and ineffective government. The question isn’t small or large government but rather who does the government work for? I would rather Cathy worked for you and me to keep air and water clean, provide health care for everyone, educate our citizens and repair our infrastructure
