Area boys: Ryan Rehkow helps Central Valley top Richland

Ryan Rehkow scored 24 points and Zach Stocker hit 5 of 6 free throws late to help Central Valley (8-1) edge visiting Richland (5-3) 69-68 in a nonleague game on Thursday.

Tied at 48 after three quarters, CV was able to build a bit of a pad early in the fourth before Richland closed the gap again, but Rehkow’s late free throws made the difference.

Stocker finished with 18 points and Michael Plunkitt knocked down a pair of 3-pointers and 15 points.

Tyler Kurtz led Richland with 27 points.

Davenport 56, Odessa-Harrington 46: Jay Burt scored 17 points on 8-of-11 shooting to help the Gorillas (3-5) to a victory over the visiting Titans (3-3).

Tanner Abbott brought in an additional 10 points for Davenport in the win, while Ryan Moffet led Odessa-Harrington with 20 points.

Springdale 51, Inchelium 44: Chandler Carr scored 29 points and the visiting Chargers (6-3) defeated the Hornets (4-5) in a nonleague matchup.

Springdale led 25-22 at the break and used a 15-11 third quarter to hold the advantage.

Kobe Seymour led Inchelium with 12 points and Jaden Erickson added 10.

Tekoa-Rosalia 51, Valley Christian 38: Mike Greybeck scored 14 points to help the Timberwolves (2-7) defeat the visiting Panthers (0-9) in a nonleague game.

Craig Mueller had 11 points with 10 rebounds and Tekoa-Rosalia out rebounded Valley Christian 48-16.

Wesley Thomas led VC with 11 points.

Eagle Holiday Classic at West Valley

West Valley 69, Colville 50: Colin Sather led four in double figures with 22 points to help the tournament host Eagles (6-4) defeat the Indians (3-6).

Ryan Liefer scored 15 points for West Valley, which led 16-9 after the first quarter. Ariez Daniels had 14 points and Conner Whitney added 10.

Alberto Cisneros led Colville with 16 points and Devin Lembcke added 10.

Cheney 60, Lake Roosevelt 32: Jaylen Worthem scored 16 points to lead the Blackhawks (6-3) over the Raiders (1-8).

Cheney is 2-0 at the tournament. Landon West added 11 points for Cheney, which led 29-15 at intermission and added a 22-point third quarter to salt it away.

Derek Whiteman led Lake Roosevelt with 11 points.

Pullman 83, Lakeside (WA) 47: Tim Pendry scored 19 points and the Greyhounds (8-2) routed the Eagles (4-5).

Jacob Wells had 14 points for Pullman while Cole Hawes scored 11 and Joey Vanucci added 10.

Tristan Cox paced Lakeside with 16 points and David Smith added 12.

Medical Lake 63, St. George’s 50: Nizhole Sherman led four in double figures with 16 points to help the Cardinals (7-1) defeat the Dragons (5-4).

Cade Peplinski and Mitchell Ward led the Dragons with 10 points apiece.

Okanogan 69, Riverside 34: Gage Wilson scored 16 points and the Bulldogs (4-3) routed the Rams (2-7).

Jordan Jesse added 10 points for Okanogan, which led 35-15 at the half. Okanogan made 10 3-pointers and held Riverside without a strike from beyond the arc.

Connor Campbell and Clay Wilson led Riverside with eight points apiece.

Pomeroy 54, Kettle Falls 44: Jake Tewalt scored 18 points and the Pirates (5-1) defeated the Bulldogs (3-6).

Pomeroy led 17-9 at the half after holding Kettle Falls scoreless in the second quarter. Cort La Munyan added 15 points for Pomeroy.

Matthew Thompson scored 13 points and Dakota Crumplet added 12 for Kettle Falls.

Deer Park 52, Sandpoint 42: Isaac Berglund scored 13 points and the Stags (3-6) topped the Bulldogs (2-8).

Deer Park built a 27-17 halftime lead and kept Sandpoint at bay in the second half.

Levi Favor paced Sandpoint with 16 points.

Lake City Invite

Lake City 71, Timberline 61: James Carlson scored 21 points to help the tournament host Timberwolves (6-1) defeat the Wolves (5-3).

Kenny Louis-McGee scored 18 points, while Duncan Butler and Hunter Schaffer both came down with seven rebounds for Lake City.

Andy Ford led Timberline led with 20 points and Cole Alton added 18. Timberline shot 12 of 34 from the 3-point line while Lake City made 3 of 6.

Post Falls 51, Columbia River 43: Tanner McCliment-Call had a outstanding night scoring 17 points to help the Trojans (7-1) defeat the Chieftains (6-3).

Trailing 28-26 at intermission, Post Falls outscored Columbia River 35-15 in the second half. The Trojans clamped down on defense, forcing 19 turnovers overall.

Jacob Hjort paced Columbia River with 20 points.

Greg Larson Memorial Invitational at Freeman

Northwest Christian 65, Freeman 60: Ryan Ricks scored 29 points to help the Crusaders (7-1) win the tournament title and hand the host Scotties (8-1) their first loss of the season.

Ricks, who scored 23 points on Wednesday in the first round against St. Maries, was named tournament MVP. He hit two late free throws in a 23-16 fourth quarter to keep NWC out of reach.

Asher Cox scored 16 points for NWC, while Rolf Veenstra and Nolan Burns added 10 points apiece.

Freeman was led by Dylan Oja with 21 points, Michael Coumont kicked in 15 and Ryan Maine added 10.

Reardan Lions Club Tournament

St. John-Endicott 36, Reardan 30: Adam Blakeley scored 11 points to help the Eagles (1-6) defeat the Indians (1-5).

Cooper Lundberg added 10 points for SJ-E. Reardan was led by Riley McCoy with 11 points.
