Four Corners: Gonzaga faces up-and-coming Loyola

Coming up: Thursday at LMU, 7 p.m., KHQ/Root; Saturday at Pepperdine, 9 p.m., ESPN2

Outlook: Gonzaga, winners of three straight, faces an LMU team it clobbered 85-62 on Dec. 23. The Lions have already won two more games than last season’s eight-win total and they’re showing progress under second-year coach Mike Dunlap. Junior forward Adom Jacko, one of nine newcomers, averages 15.7 points, 22.3 over LMU’s last four games. Guard Brandon Brown checks in at 13 ppg despite shooting just 38 percent. Wing Steven Haney has made 50 3-pointers. The Lions are 6-3 at home, but just 1-3 in conference. They won at Santa Clara and San Francisco.

Gonzaga leaders

Scoring: Kyle Wiltjer, 22.0

Rebounding: Domantas Sabonis, 11.5
