Teen arrested for bomb threat at Greenacres Middle School

A 13-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly making a bomb threat that shut down Greenacres Middle School in Spokane Valley Tuesday.

The threat was found on the wall of a stall in a boy’s bathroom Tuesday and the school was evacuated while it was searched by police. No explosive was found, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.

School resource Deputy Cole Speer worked with the Central Valley School District in the investigation. The boy was booked into the Spokane County Juvenile Detention Facility Thursday on a charge of threats to bomb or injure property, a felony.
