Passed away peacefully on February 6, 2016 in Moreno Valley, California at the home he shared with son Stephen John Charles Haeger.
Born April 19, 1921 in Altmont, North Dakota to parents Charles and Anna (Schacht) Hoeger.
Siblings: Clara, Olga, Louise, Carl, Johnny, Ruth and Harold.
He married the love of his life Ellouise, June 16, 1940 who preceded him in death.
He is survived by children: Jane Marshall (Eugene), Asenath/Senie Brown (Duel), Judy Holden (James), VIrgina Rae/Ginger Conant (Richard/Buss), Steve Haeger (Sheri), Heather Haeger-Garcia (Gilbert; grandchildren 29; great-grandchildren 67+; great-great-grandchildren 32+; great-great-great-grandchildren three; many nieces and nephews.
A lifelong Dodger Fan, he was passionate about his Dodgers until the end.
Ray and Elouise owned numerous restaurants and their homemade desserts are famous.
Ray worked many years for the BIA, plumbing Indian homes.
He served in the CCC’s and attended both Lutheran and Presbyterian Churches.
Visitation on Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 10:00-5:00 at Heritage.
Funeral Service at 11:00AM on Friday, February 26, 2016 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 4202 North Belt, and Interment at 1:00 at Greenwood Memorial Terrace with a reception to follow at Messiah Lutheran Church in the fellowship hall.
