Girl accidentally shot at south-central Idaho gun range

RUPERT, Idaho – Authorities in south-central Idaho say a 12-year-old girl required hospitalization after being accidentally shot at a gun range.

Minidoka County Sheriff Eric Snarr told the Times-News that the girl was shot Sunday afternoon at the Rupert Gun Range.

Snarr says the girl was taken by helicopter to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.

Snarr says the girl’s mother said her daughter was in stable condition Monday.

Police are investigating.
