A teenage boy sustained serious injuries Tuesday evening when he was hit by a car in the 11900 block of East Mansfield Avenue in Spokane Valley.
The boy was in surgery Tuesday night and no update on his condition was available, said Spokane Valley police spokesman Mark Gregory.
Spokane Valley Fire Department Battalion Chief Ken Capaul said the boy’s injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
Investigators are looking into whether the driver involved in the crash was under the influence, Gregory said.
