Idaho AG office investigating political action committee

Associated Press

BOISE – The Idaho attorney general’s office is investigating a political action committee.

Spokesman Todd Dvorak told the Post Register in a story on Friday that the Integrity in Government PAC is being investigated but declined to provide details.

Public campaign disclosures show the PAC raised $126,000 in May 2014 with several large donations.

Public records show a donation of $12,000 from a person who in 2011 reported a total earned income of less than $30,000.

Donations by someone other than those stated on financial disclosures would be a violation of the Idaho Sunshine Act.

Lee Ann Callear is chairwomen of Integrity in Government PAC.

She said that as far as she knows, all the donations to the PAC were legal.

The PAC spent nearly all of its money in the GOP primary supporting challenges to incumbents, including Idaho Gov. Butch Otter and Attorney General Lawrence Wasden.
