Snowy owl mugs for traffic web cam in Montreal

WILDLIFE WATCHING — The ever-growing number of web cameras monitoring our world is giving us rare glimpses of wildlife in action, as well as most everything else in the world.

The photo above of a snowy owl was captured by a traffic cam over Highway 40 in Montreal, Quebec.

The pole on which the camera is mounted provides a good perch for the owl overlooking grassy areas that hold rodents the owl has been hunting.
