Shooter who killed EWU student remains at large

Police have not made an arrest in a shooting Monday night at the Palomino Club in north Spokane.

Detectives have been following leads over the last several days, and are asking for the public’s help identifying vehicles and persons of interest, police said in a news release.

Early Monday, police responded to a reported fight at the club. One person was seen with a gun, police said. Shortly after the initial call, shots were reported fired. Eastern Washington University student Eduardo Villagomez, 21, was shot and killed.

Villagomez died of a gunshot wound to the head, according to the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s office.
