Snoqualmie Pass to close parts of Monday, Tuesday nights
Four-hour closures are planned for Snoqualmie Pass starting at 11 p.m. Monday and again Tuesday night to allow crews to remove snow from ditch lines where it accumulates at the base of slopes.
Traffic will be stopped eastbound at milepost 56 near Gold Creek and westbound at milepost 70 near Easton.
The ditches will be cleaned for added catchment of snow coming off the mountainside. Crews will use excavators to clean the ditch, place material in the roadway and then blow it over the eastbound side and then again over the barrier under the bridge on the lake side.
