Sat., July 2, 2016
A fatal ATV crash in Shoshone County on June 25 has claimed a second victim who died of her injuries Saturday.
Sixty-year-old Kristi P. Hunnicutt, of Silverton, Idaho, was a passenger on an ATV driven by Thomas C. Schwartzenberger, 51, of Cheney. Their ATV was going north on the Old River Road near Kingston when Schwartzenberger failed to negotiate a turn, hitting a tree and going down a long embankment before hitting another tree, according to the Idaho State Police.
Both Schwartzenberger and Hunnicutt were ejected and neither was wearing a helmet, according to ISP. Schwartzenberger died at the scene. Hunnicutt was taken to Kootenai Health, where she died Saturday.
