Spokane Valley City Council to tour pot businesses
The Spokane Valley City Council is going on a tour of marijuana businesses during a special council meeting at 3 p.m. Thursday.
The meeting starts at City Hall then heads to Grow Op Farm at 2611 N. Woodruff Road and Locals Canna House at 9616 E. Sprague Ave.
The meeting is open to the public, but participants in the tour must be 21 years and older and bring valid ID. Participants should also be able to provide their own transportation.
This tour is similar to one taken by the Spokane Valley Planning Commission earlier this year, and it’s meant to give council members experience with marijuana processors and retailers prior to making decisions about regulations.
The council will not make decisions during the tour, and the meeting will adjourn back at City Hall.
