Motorcycle riders crash when one hits the other
NACHES, Wash. – Two Enumclaw residents riding separate motorcycles were hurt Friday when one slowed and was hit by the other on State Route 410, the Washington State Patrol reported.
The crash was reported about 2:20 p.m. 15 miles west of Naches.
Paul F. Jackson, 51, was listed in good condition at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital Friday evening, a nursing supervisor said.
Christine A. Jackson, 48, was not publicly listed as a patient, the nursing supervisor said.
State troopers said Christine Jackson’s motorcycle hit Paul Jackson’s motorcycle when he slowed. She was expected to receive a ticket for following too closely.
Both had driver’s license endorsements for operating motorcycles and were wearing helmets, troopers said. Intoxicants were not suspected of contributing to the crash.
