Woman killed in one-car crash in Four Lakes area

From staff reports

A woman was killed Sunday when her car crashed in the Four Lakes area southwest of Spokane.

The woman’s car was found off the side of West Medical Lake-Four Lakes Road near South Granite Lake Road at about 3:45 p.m., the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office said.

The adult female driver and sole occupant had been ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Traffic collision technicians for the county are investigating if the car is the same one reported as a reckless driver a few minutes before the crash. Witnesses reported seeing a car driving off the road and into oncoming traffic in the area of West Medical Lake-Four Lakes Road and South Craig Road, officials said.

The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the victim.
