Catching up with more news from the past week in local craft beer:

– Craft breweries are coming to Coeur d’Alene’s Art on the Green for the first time. The 48th annual event Aug. 5-7 will include an adult beverage garden with beers from Mad Bomber and Slate Creek, along with Summit Cider and local wines; hours will be Friday and Saturday from noon to 9 and Sunday from noon to 5.

– The Spokane Brewers Festival has announced the first dozen breweries for its inaugural event Aug. 12-14 in the Spokane Arena parking lot: Badass Backyard, Bellwether, Downdraft, English Setter, Icicle, Iron Horse, No-Li, Northern Ales, Orlison, Paradise Creek, River City and Waddell’s. Look for more to be revealed in coming days.

Laughing Dog on Friday began brewing at its new, expanded production facility near the original brewery and pub north of Sandpoint.

– Moscow’s Hunga Dunga Brewing Company is busy making beer and training servers in preparation for its opening sometime later this month.

– The next two Thursday brew cruises by Hayden Lake Cruises will feature Selkirk Abbey next week and Slate Creek on July 28. Tickets are $39, available through the website.

– The Steam Plant has a Wild Strawberry Sour on the way in the next few weeks, and in the meantime has made another batch of its popular Blood Orange Pale to last through the summer.

– Finally, for those who understand all this Pokemon Go stuff a bit better than yours truly, Young Buck , Bellwether , Selkirk Abbey and Post Falls Brewing have posted about the presence of Pokemon on their premises. Happy hunting.
